Pantanal
The largest wetland on the planet, where wildlife is within reach.

The Pantanal is one of the richest and most accessible ecosystems for wildlife observation in the entire continent. Shared by Brazil, Bolivia, and Paraguay, this vast plain of seasonal wetlands is home to an explosion of wildlife that unfolds before travelers’ eyes in a generous and unmediated way.
Unlike other regions where encounters are sporadic or elusive, here caimans rest by the trails, capybaras wander among the lagoons, and over 650 bird species color the sky with their flights. Toucans, jabirus, roseate spoonbills, kingfishers, and red macaws coexist in perfect harmony with the landscape.
But without a doubt, the Pantanal’s greatest icon is the jaguar: this region offers the best chances in the world to see it in the wild. Boat trips along the Cuiabá and Paraguay rivers, in areas like Porto Jofre, provide an unparalleled experience of observing big cats, accompanied by giant otters, river wolves, tapirs, peccaries, snakes, and fascinating aquatic wildlife.
The Pantanal experience is also an immersion into the life of the pantaneiros, the local gauchos who inhabit the fazendas of the region, and into a culture closely linked to water, cattle, and conservation.
Different from the Amazon in terms of visibility, and complementary to the Iberá Wetlands in scale and intensity, the Pantanal is a mecca for nature and conservation tourism. Traveling with Click Fauna through this region is to experience one of the world’s best wildlife safaris… but South American, aquatic, and deeply authentic.
